Technion Computer Science Designation

Jacobs students in the classes graduating in 2021 and 2022 can obtain a Computer Science designation on their Technion degree. To be eligible, students must complete 18 credits of advanced and technical courses at Cornell Tech. At least 15 of those credits must come from computer science courses that are not practicums, seminars, independent studies, or projects. Only courses that are approved by the Technion may be applied toward the designation, and only those courses taken for a letter grade and where a C- or better is awarded will count toward the designation. Most technical courses are three credits each.

Students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for the designation.

The CS designation will appear in the Technion graduation packet in the form of a cover letter. The Technion graduation packet includes the student’s diploma. Please note you will receive your Technion diploma (and this certificate confirming the CS designation) one full year after you Cornell diploma is conferred.

Submit the form accessed from this page to apply for the designation. The form must be submitted by June 10, 2021 for the Class of 2021, and by the date of Cornell graduation for the Class of 2022.
